The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System has expanded the group of Veterans currently being administered COVID-19 vaccines. Now any southeast Louisiana Veteran who is eligible for VA health care can receive a vaccine at VA by making an appointment or visiting a walk-in clinic.
Southeast Louisiana Veterans interested in a vaccine may contact VA at 1-800-935-8387 extension 72819 Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Veterans can receive a vaccine at the following times and locations:
Regular walk-in hours
New Orleans Veterans Medical Center, 2400 Canal Street. Walk-ins from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to noon on weekends. Other times are available by appointment.
February 20 walk-in event at St. John

In addition to enrolled Veterans, family caregivers who are enrolled in the VA’s Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers are eligible for vaccination. Vaccinating caregivers helps us support and protect Veterans.
